Ready to be the friendly face of a thriving practice? Adams Vets is looking for an experienced receptionist to join their close-knit team across two well-equipped Liverpool clinics—with manageable part-time hours, Saturday mornings only, and zero out-of-hours shifts.

No out-of-hours duties. One Saturday morning per month (8:30am–1pm) included in part-time hours.

About the Role

You’ll be the heart of Adams Vets’ front desk operations, greeting clients, answering calls and emails, and ensuring every visitor feels welcomed. This is a part-time role working up to 25 hours per week across a three-day week, plus one Saturday morning per month (8:30am–1pm). You’ll split your time between the practice’s two clinics in Fazakerley and Wavertree, with no out-of-hours duties required—perfect for maintaining a genuine work-life balance.

Adams Vets has served the Liverpool community for over 40 years and is part of the wider IVC Evidensia group. The Fazakerley clinic benefits from excellent transport links and free parking, while the Wavertree location sits in a vibrant area packed with independent restaurants and cafés. Both sites are fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasonography, an in-house Idexx laboratory, dedicated wards, modern operating theatres, and dedicated consultation rooms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the front desk, greeting new and existing clients with professionalism and warmth
  • Answer phone calls and emails, responding promptly and helpfully
  • Promote the practice’s Pet Health Club membership scheme
  • Prepare medications and assist with insurance claims processing
  • Support the wider team across both Fazakerley and Wavertree clinics
  • Contribute to the smooth running of daily practice operations

Requirements

  • At least one year of receptionist experience, preferably in a veterinary practice
  • Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to commute to both clinic locations
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A Certificate of Higher Education (preferred but not essential)
