About the Role

Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Oncologist to join its multi-disciplinary referral hospital in Winchester, Hampshire. This is a full-time position where you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based oncology care within a supportive, collaborative environment that values professional development and clinical excellence.

You’ll work as part of a team that spans internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, dentistry, neurology, physiotherapy, anaesthesia, and imaging. This integrated approach means you’ll contribute to comprehensive treatment plans and participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and the hospital’s CPD and teaching programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based oncology care to small animal patients at the referral hospital
  • Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, dentistry, neurology, physiotherapy, anaesthesia, and imaging teams on multi-disciplinary treatment plans
  • Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and contribute to hospital CPD and teaching programmes
  • Engage with referring veterinarians and pet owners, providing clear communication and ensuring continuity of care
  • Contribute to clinical research and the development of oncology services within the hospital

Requirements

  • Board-certified (ECVIM-CA or ACVIM), residency-trained or Cert AVP in veterinary oncology
  • Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient welfare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for team-focused working
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and RCVS registration (or ability to obtain)
