About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join an experienced, supportive veterinary team across multiple Avonvale sites in Warwickshire. You’ll work 40 hours per week over 4 days (8:30am–6:30pm) with minimal out-of-hours commitments, giving you genuine flexibility to balance career progression with personal life. Whether you’re drawn to full-time or part-time working, the practice is open to tailoring the arrangement to suit you.

Based in beautiful Warwickshire, you’ll enjoy countryside walks, historic charm, and excellent schools – all within 30 minutes of Birmingham and direct train access to London. The practice operates across 7 RCVS-accredited surgeries plus a central hospital in Warwick, so you’ll have the option to work across 2–3 sites depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care across the Avonvale network, working alongside an experienced team of 30 vets
  • Engage with a varied caseload, including orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, feline medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, and chronic pain management
  • Collaborate with highly skilled nursing teams qualified in emergency & critical care, anaesthesia, wound management, behaviour, and hydrotherapy
  • Utilise state-of-the-art facilities including CT, digital X-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and hydrotherapy units
  • Contribute to a supportive, collegial culture where experienced vets are always available to offer guidance and discussion
  • Support the practice’s 24-hour care provision as part of a wider team structure (not sole charge)

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Surgeon with current RCVS registration
  • Experience in small animal practice (no specific years stated as essential; willingness to learn and engage with the team valued)
  • Interest in professional development and further study (e.g., certificates in specialism areas)
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites
