About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest purpose-built multidisciplinary referral hospitals as a Veterinary Radiographer. Blaise Veterinary Referral Hospital in Birmingham is a 36,000 sq ft facility treating up to 10,000 pets annually, combining 24-hour emergency care with specialist services across multiple disciplines. You’ll work in an open-plan, collaborative environment where clinical excellence and sustainability sit at the heart of everything the hospital does. The role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time options available, typically working a 4-day week from 8:00am–6:00pm.

You’ll be at the forefront of diagnostic imaging, performing high-quality procedures across CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography, and ultrasound. Your work will directly support complex referral cases and contribute to seamless patient pathways across the entire hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities: CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography, and ultrasound
  • Safely prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, working collaboratively with clinicians and nursing teams
  • Optimise case workflow and patient care through close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain imaging equipment and suites to the highest standard, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and safety
  • Conduct routine quality assurance checks and ensure full compliance with imaging protocols
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused culture within the imaging department and across Blaise

Requirements

  • HCPC registration with DCR or BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography (essential)
  • Ideally experience working within veterinary imaging (desirable but not essential)
  • Membership of the Society of Radiographers (desirable)
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism, and ethical standards
  • Patient-focused approach with high regard for animal welfare
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative, team-oriented mindset
