About the Role

Blake Vets is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join the Burnham-on-Sea practice and help shape the future of their small animal service. Over 20 years, the practice has built a strong reputation across Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea for exceptional patient care. • Provide primary care consultations and minor surgical procedures for dogs, cats, and small pets
  • Build relationships with clients and become a familiar, trusted face at the Burnham practice
  • Collaborate with the dedicated nursing team on patient care and treatment planning

  • Work flexibly across a 4-day week (38 hours, Monday to Saturday) with a fixed day off
  • Contribute to the practice’s clinical governance and welfare standards

Requirements

  • Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Surgeon
  • Genuine interest in small animal practice and clinical excellence
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development
  • Full-time, part-time, or flexible working arrangements are all considered

Benefits

  • Work-Life Balance: 6.6 weeks’ holiday including bank holidays, plus your birthday off. No out-of-hours shifts—covered externally after 7pm
