🕐 Schedule & Rota

1:3 Saturday rota shared with the team. No Sunday or bank holiday work.

About the Role

Bracknell Vets4Pets is actively expanding and seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their ambitious, close-knit team. This is a permanent position offered on a flexible basis—full-time or part-time—with Saturdays shared on a fair 1:3 rota and no Sunday or bank holiday work required.

The practice is purpose-built with excellent clinical facilities and a strong culture around work-life balance. The team genuinely enjoys what they do: the practice owner Kirsty (15 years qualified, surgical certificate, specialist interests in regenerative medicine and chronic pain management) leads a supportive environment alongside experienced colleagues including Georgina and Ana. You’ll be joining vets who work hard to high standards but have fun doing it, with a shared philosophy that a happier team performs better.

Located on Peel Centre Retail Park in Bracknell with free parking and easy access to The Lexicon restaurants and high street brands, the practice benefits from strong local client loyalty and real potential for further growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-standard small animal clinical care, working collaboratively with the existing team
  • Manage a diverse caseload in-house, including advanced procedures such as stem cell and PRP intra-articular injections
  • Work alongside visiting orthopaedic and ophthalmology specialists to develop your own clinical interests
  • Contribute to case development and pursue professional certifications in areas of particular interest (fully funded)
  • Share Saturday duties fairly on a 1:3 rota with the team
  • Engage with the practice’s client-focused approach from initial consultation through case completion

Requirements

  • Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS
  • Proven experience as a qualified veterinary surgeon
  • Strong clinical foundation with appetite to develop specialist interests
  • Collaborative approach and genuine interest in team-based practice culture

Benefits

  • Competitive salary up to £75,000 FTE
  • Flexible working: full-time or part-time options available
  • Pension scheme, healthcare, and paid professional memberships
  • Death in service pay-out
  • Exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home)
  • Fully funded professional development and certification support
  • No Sunday or bank holiday work; Saturday rota shared fairly (1:3)
  • Manageable diary to prevent overload and support work-life balance
