About the Role

Join Bridge Veterinary Clinic’s friendly team in picturesque Lechlade and discover what genuine work-life balance looks like in first opinion practice. This is a full-time position working 40 hours/week but open to discussion on working patterns (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–6:30pm) with no weekends and no out-of-hours cover – the practice even closes daily for lunch. The beautiful Cotswolds location offers peaceful countryside walks and easy access to Oxford, Swindon, Bath, and Bristol.

You’ll work primarily from the main Lechlade practice on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, though some cross-site work at sister practice Archway Veterinary Surgery (Highworth) may be required. The practice has been delivering compassionate small animal care across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, and Oxfordshire since 1903, and they’ve built a reputation for valuing their nursing team as prominent clinical members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage nursing procedures including radiography, suturing, dentistry, and anaesthetic monitoring
  • Run your own nurse clinics and take clinical responsibility for case management
  • Utilise state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring, and in-house laboratory facilities
  • Work collaboratively with the small team across both Bridge Lechlade and Archway Highworth sites as needed
  • Support the practice’s focus on exceptional client care and team wellbeing

Requirements

  • Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Experience or genuine enthusiasm for small animal first opinion practice
  • A team-focused mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Willingness to engage in certificate study or specialist clinical interests (supported by the practice)
