About the Role

You’ll be joining Bridge Vets as an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon in a varied role combining consulting and surgery across their well-established branch sites. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with genuine flexibility built in—think fixed or flexible rotas that work around school runs, school holidays, or whatever suits your lifestyle best. The team operates a 1-in-5 Saturday rota with no out-of-hours commitments, giving you genuine control over your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-opinion small animal clinical care across Bridge Vets’ 4 branch sites
  • Balance consulting and surgical work with flexibility to develop your clinical interests
  • Work confidently with an element of sole charge responsibility within a supportive environment
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of 11 Veterinary Surgeons and 13 Registered Veterinary Nurses
  • Contribute to a collaborative clinical network supported by sister practice Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals

Requirements

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with experience in small animal practice
  • Comfortable working with an element of sole charge responsibility
  • Confident clinician who thrives in a busy, fast-paced practice environment
  • Collaborative approach to working within a multi-site team

About the Practice

Bridge Vets operates across 4 first-opinion small animal branches in Aberdeen, supported by their sister practice Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals, creating a strong collaborative clinical network. The team includes 11 Veterinary Surgeons, 13 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 10 Student Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants. With an Internal Medicine certificate holder and a vet with strong exotic interests on staff, the practice actively supports certificate study and specialist development.

The practices are well equipped with ultrasound, digital main and dental x-ray, in-house lab machines, multiple consulting rooms, theatres, and dedicated prep areas.
