About the Role

You’ll join Bruceview Vets as a Veterinary Care Assistant in a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week across 4 × 8-hour shifts plus one 7-hour shift. This is a varied role with genuine breadth: you’ll handle patients, process lab samples, manage equipment sterilisation and cleaning, and cover reception duties including phone calls and cash handling. Saturday mornings feature in the rota (1 in 4, from 9:00am–1:00pm), and split shifts are negotiable provided a 7:00pm finish works for you.

Based in Central Scotland, Bruceview is ideally located near Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, and the Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre—perfect if you enjoy your workplace set against historic countryside. The practice is RCVS accredited with three modern consult rooms, separate cat and dog wards, and specialist services including dental radiography and acupuncture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient handling and care across small animal wards
  • Laboratory sample processing and analysis support
  • Cleaning and sterilisation of instruments and equipment to RCVS standards
  • Reception duties: managing telephone calls, greeting clients, cash handling
  • Supporting clinical staff during consultations and procedures
  • Maintaining practice cleanliness and organisation
  • Contributing to a supportive team environment across 10 vets and 7 nurses

Bruceview Vets is a modern, RCVS-accredited small animal practice in Central Scotland serving the Stirling area. The team comprises 10 veterinary surgeons, 7 registered veterinary nurses, and 5 support staff, with specialists in dentistry and pain management. The practice is equipped with three consultation rooms, separate cat and dog wards, dental X-ray facilities, and offers acupuncture alongside all standard small animal services.
