Equine Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

B&W Equine Hospital is recruiting a professional and organised Receptionist to join their growing team at their Breadstone clinic in Gloucestershire. This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours across 5 days per week, offering a structured working environment in a first opinion equine practice.

You’ll be the welcoming face of the practice, managing all incoming correspondence via phone, email, and in person. Your day will involve managing veterinary diaries and booking appointments, handling account queries and payments, plus general administrative housekeeping tasks. You’ll work alongside experienced equine staff in a professional, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to all incoming correspondence—phone calls, emails, and face-to-face client enquiries
• Manage and prioritise veterinary appointment diaries efficiently
• Handle client account queries and process payments accurately
• Support general reception and administrative duties to keep the practice running smoothly
• Maintain professional, welcoming customer service standards at all times

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly demeanour
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
• Good general IT skills for diary management and administrative systems
• Basic equine knowledge or genuine interest in horses
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred
• Right to Work in the UK (visa sponsorship cannot be offered for this clinical support role)
