🕐 Schedule & Rota

1:4 Saturday rota (8:30am–4pm). No overnight on-call or out-of-hours duties required.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position offering a refreshing work-life balance that many RVNs are looking for. You’ll work a 4-day week with shifts between 8am and 7pm, plus a 1:4 Saturday rota (8:30am–4pm) with no overnight on-call duties. Cathcart and Winn is a friendly, well-established practice in Farnham, Surrey, with a genuine emphasis on using RVNs to their full potential. You’ll be encouraged to perform Schedule 3 procedures and run nurse consults as part of your daily work. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting in theatre
  • Performing Schedule 3 procedures including suturing, dental charting, and scaling and polishing
  • Ward and inpatient nursing care
  • Running nurse consults independently
  • Working collaboratively across the veterinary, nursing, PCA and client care teams
  • Contributing to a team of 5 RVNs, 5 vets, 1 SVN, 3 PCAs and 5 client care advisors

Requirements

  • Current RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Team-spirited approach with a genuine passion for quality patient care
  • Interest in developing nurse consult skills
  • Willingness to undertake Schedule 3 procedures
