Join a thriving 18-strong nursing team at a purpose-built small animal hospital with genuine investment in your development. Exotics experience? Brilliant—but full training provided if you're keen to learn.

🕐 Schedule & Rota

On-call and OOH weekends as part of structured rota; practice runs its own out-of-hours service

About the Role

This is a full-time nursing position within a well-resourced, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital that runs its own out-of-hours service. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week on a shift pattern between 8am and 8pm, with on-call and OOH weekend commitments as part of a structured rota. The practice is purposefully designed to support excellent patient care, with separate cat, dog and exotic wards, in-house laboratory and digital X-ray facilities across six operating theatres and multiple consulting rooms.

What makes this role special is the team structure: 11 small animal vets are supported by 18 nurses, students and auxiliaries, with a dedicated auxiliary team handling theatre prep, cleaning and laundry. This means your time is spent purely on nursing duties, without the burden of admin or theatre maintenance. An Exotics Specialist Vet works on site—if you’re interested in exotic nursing, you’ll receive full training and support to develop that specialism.

Sileby is a welcoming market town in Leicestershire with easy access to Leicester city amenities, making this an ideal base for work-life balance.
