About the Role

Join Cibyn Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Receptionist in the charming walled town of Caernarfon, nestled between the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains and the stunning beaches of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula. This is a part-time position offering 16 hours per week (8:30am–7:00pm plus 1-in-4 Saturdays 8:30am–1:00pm), perfect for those seeking flexibility without sacrificing the rewarding experience of supporting a vibrant small animal practice.

You’ll work within a welcoming team that genuinely values collaboration and colleague support. The practice is designed to deliver exceptional care to pets and their owners, and your role is central to creating that positive first impression and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The location offers ample time off to enjoy outdoor activities—mountain running, lake and sea swimming, and beach walks—with convenient access to Manchester and Liverpool (1.5 hours) and Holyhead ferries (30 minutes).

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting clients and pets with warmth, creating a welcoming reception experience
  • Managing the appointment diary and scheduling client visits
  • Handling phone and email inquiries with excellent communication
  • Processing payments for services and products
  • Managing cash and performing end-of-day banking procedures
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic flow and exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive and proactive attitude with genuine passion for teamwork
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Previous reception or customer service experience is advantageous

About the Practice

Cibyn Veterinary Clinic is a purpose-built, single-site small animal practice serving the Caernarfon area. The team includes 7 first opinion vets who balance consulting and operating duties while pursuing their clinical interests—including a Medicine certificate holder, vets working towards ECC and Exotics qualifications, and on-site referral ophthalmology with 3 AVP Ophthalmologists. The nursing team comprises 8 qualified RVNs supported by a dedicated team of ACAs and receptionists. The practice proudly manages its own out-of-hours work on-site, reflecting their commitment to quality care and team cohesion.
