About the Role

Clifton Villa is recruiting an experienced GP Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-equipped practice spanning Truro and Newquay. This is an on-site role offering flexibility—whether you prefer a single location or work across both sites is open to discussion. You’ll deliver high clinical standards while enjoying a supportive team culture focused on patient care and client experience.

This is a full-time permanent position with 40 hours per week as standard, though the practice is happy to discuss alternative patterns including part-time options (20–40 hours) and flexible schedules such as 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off for the right candidate. Best of all: no out-of-hours duties are required. Clifton Villa operates its own 24-hour hospitalisation and after-hours team, so you can maintain a genuine work-life balance.

Located in rural Cornwall, the practice is easily commutable from Padstow, Wadebridge, Bodmin, St Austell, Redruth, Falmouth, Looe and surrounding areas—ideal if you’re seeking a career move to the Southwest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-opinion small animal veterinary care across two busy, well-equipped practice locations

Requirements

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon registered with the RCVS
  • Experience as a general practice veterinarian
  • Strong communication and client management skills with an empathetic approach
  • Ability to adapt to varying client needs and manage expectations professionally
  • Interest in continuous professional development (desirable but not essential)
