1:4 Saturday rota. No out-of-hours or overnight inpatient checks required.

About the Role

This is a full-time position offering excellent work–life balance, worked across a 4-day rota with an average of 40 hours per week. You’ll also participate in a 1:4 Saturday rota. Redhill’s location is enviable: just 20 minutes by car or 15 minutes by direct train to Gatwick Airport, 30 minutes from London, and surrounded by the North Downs with excellent transport links by road and rail.

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of this happy, well-established practice, where nurses are genuinely at the heart of the operation. The team works collaboratively to deliver high standards of clinical care while maintaining a compassionate approach to everything they do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding clinical nursing care, contributing to the wellbeing of patients and clients
  • Perform an essential clinical role within the practice, making a real difference to patient outcomes
  • Undertake Schedule 3 tasks as part of your nursing responsibilities
  • Support the team of 6 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 VCAs, and reception staff in maintaining the highest standards of care
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills in all areas of practice
  • Show a willingness to develop your understanding of the practice as a business
  • Motivate and support team members to achieve both individual and practice goals
  • Embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role with professionalism and dedication

Requirements

  • Current RVN registration
  • Strong foundation in general nursing practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Genuine passion and dedication to delivering exceptional service to clients and their animals
  • Willingness to take pride in your work and consistently deliver care to a high standard
  • Interest in motivating and supporting colleagues
  • Experience in clinical coaching (desirable but not essential)

Companion Care Redhill is a well-established, purpose-built small animal practice committed to delivering high standards of clinical care with a compassionate approach. The practice is fully equipped with modern facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, Doppler, ECG, and pulse oximetry, and offers plentiful free on-site parking.

The team comprises 6 veterinary surgeons, 4 RVNs, 2 student veterinary nurses, 2 VCAs, a dedicated reception team, and a Practice Manager—all working together in a positive, collaborative environment.
