About the Role

Corner House Equine Clinic is seeking an experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their purposeful, supportive team. This is your opportunity to progress into a leadership position at a stunning 20-acre parkland facility on the Warwickshire/Worcestershire border. You’ll manage the nursing team, mentor university students, and ensure gold-standard patient care across a busy equine practice.

The role spans five days per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with no scheduled out-of-hours duties. However, there’s flexibility to assist with emergency cases when needed, and the practice generously offers TOIL (Time Off In Lieu) for any emergency work—ensuring your work-life balance is genuinely protected.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor nursing staff including student nurses on clinical practice
• Perform theatre nursing, diagnostic imaging, laboratory work, and clinical assistance
• Assist veterinary surgeons both in-clinic and during farm visits
• Manage distribution and servicing of veterinary equipment
• Oversee health and safety protocols, including radiation monitoring
• Manage drug ordering and stock control
• Support RCVS accredited training and clinical coaching opportunities
• Handle administrative duties associated with the nursing role

Requirements

• Qualified Equine Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
• Proven experience in equine nursing
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Passion for mentoring and supporting university students
• Ability to work under Schedule 3 regulations
• Motivated, organized, and committed to excellent patient care

About the Practice

Corner House Equine Clinic is a purpose-built facility set within 20 acres of beautiful parkland, ideally located on the Warwickshire/Worcestershire border. The clinic houses a team of 7 veterinary surgeons (including postgraduate certificate holders), 2 nurses (registered and student), and a supportive reception team. In-house facilities include an elective surgical suite for general anaesthesia, dedicated standing surgery room, portable and digital radiography, ultrasonography, mobile gastroscopy, and laboratory services.
