This is a part-time receptionist position offering 19.5 hours per week across a rotating shift pattern. You’ll be the welcoming hub of Cromwell Vets St Neots, the first point of contact for clients and their pets. The role combines front-desk duties with administrative support, and you’ll occasionally assist clinicians during consultations—getting hands-on experience across the practice.
The shift pattern alternates weekly, with consistent Monday evening hours, varying Tuesday and Friday slots, and rotating weekend cover (1 in 4 Saturdays or Sundays in Huntingdon, 9-hour shifts). A valid driving licence is essential, as you’ll need to be flexible to cover across Cromwell’s multiple branches.
Cromwell Vets has been delivering exceptional veterinary care to Cambridgeshire’s pets for over 100 years. The practice is renowned for its outstanding 24-hour care and, notably, for exceptional staff retention—many clinical team members have worked there since graduation and numerous admin staff have been with the practice for over 20 years, creating a genuinely stable, supportive culture.
Cromwell Vets is part of Linnaeus, a company of Mars Veterinary Health, the world’s largest family-owned veterinary business. Being privately owned allows the group to focus on long-term values and purpose—creating a better world for pets—rather than short-term profit. You’ll have access to a network of over 6,000 associates, specialists across the UK and internationally, comprehensive wellbeing support, and genuine development opportunities.
