Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of East Neuk Veterinary Clinic, creating a warm welcome for every client who walks through the door. This fixed-term receptionist position runs for 11 months and offers genuine flexibility—you’ll choose between a 3 or 4-day working week depending on what suits your lifestyle best. The role sits in a busy general practice and orthopaedic referral clinic, where you’ll help make every patient and client interaction smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free.

Based in the charming village of St Monans in Fife’s East Neuk, you’ll work in a location surrounded by stunning beaches and scenic coastal trails, yet just an hour from Edinburgh and 45 minutes from Dundee. The rota is carefully structured to protect your personal time while keeping the practice running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome clients at reception and help them navigate their visit
• Answer incoming calls, manage emails, and handle general enquiries
• Support the smooth running of appointments and client journeys
• Assist with administrative tasks as part of the team
• Contribute to a friendly, professional clinic environment

Requirements

• A friendly, professional manner with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work flexibly within the agreed rota pattern
• Basic organisational and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and be part of a supportive team
