Eden Vets, an independent 13-vet mixed practice in the heart of Fife, is seeking a talented surgeon to join their small animal team. Located just north of Edinburgh in beautiful countryside, this is a role that lets you thrive professionally without sacrificing your personal life.

You’re just 20 minutes from Dundee and St Andrews, 30 minutes to Perth, and an hour from Edinburgh, so vibrant communities and city amenities are within easy reach.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality small animal surgical and medical care as part of an 8-vet small animal team
• Work a 3-day week (Wednesday to Friday) with only 1:3 Saturday morning consults—no out-of-hours or on-call commitments
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues, including Megan who holds a certificate in small animal medicine, to discuss cases and share expertise
• Contribute to monthly clinical meetings focused on case reviews, idea-sharing, and improving clinical standards
• Work within a truly mixed practice (25% equine, 35% large animal, 40% small animal) where the small animal team operates independently from equine services

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with proven experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Strong clinical skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
• Ability to thrive in a close-knit, supportive team environment
