About the Role

Elizavet is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing independent practice in West Hampstead. This is a full-time permanent role offering genuine work-life balance—you’ll work a 40-hour flexible rota with just 1:4 half weekend coverage and no out-of-hours shifts. The role has arisen through internal progression, reflecting the practice’s growth and commitment to developing their team.

You’ll be part of a progressive clinical team led by Dr Dario Ambrogio, handling a diverse caseload of medical and surgical cases across routine consults and advanced procedures. The practice combines expert care with state-of-the-art facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, Storz endoscopy/arthroscopy, in-house IDEXX lab, and soon-to-arrive CT imaging and physiotherapy suite. This is an ideal opportunity if you have a strong interest in internal medicine or diagnostic imaging and thrive in collaborative, supportive environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compliant clinical care across a diverse caseload of medical and surgical cases
  • Confidently perform routine consultations and surgeries
  • Engage with the practice’s progressive, collaborative clinical culture
  • Provide outstanding client communication throughout the entire patient journey, explaining diagnoses and treatment options clearly
  • Support and mentor colleagues, helping develop skills across the team
  • Contribute to the practice’s continued innovation and expansion, including access to new diagnostic technologies

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • 2–5 years’ small animal experience
  • Confident across routine consultations and surgeries
  • Strong all-rounder able to handle varied cases with high-quality care
  • Excellent communicator, capable of explaining diagnoses and treatment plans clearly to clients and colleagues
  • Collaborative and supportive approach; thrives in team environments and enjoys helping others develop
  • Curious and motivated learner with keen interest in internal medicine or diagnostic imaging
