About the Role

Fishguard Veterinary Services is recruiting an experienced or newly qualified veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and collaborative team in Pembrokeshire. This is a genuine mixed practice offering the flexibility to tailor your caseload, with potential comprising 35% farm (mainly dairy), 55% small animal, and 10% equine work.

The practice operates from a purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art equipment and is independently and family-owned, enabling them to provide comprehensive care including their own out-of-hours provision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality veterinary care across mixed animal disciplines
• Manage mixed caseload with potential to specialise based on individual interests
• Participate in monthly clinical meetings and case discussions
• Contribute to team-based approach with strong emphasis on communication and collaboration
• Support ongoing professional development through CPD activities
• Engage with the local Pembrokeshire community through practice involvement

Requirements

• RCVS registered veterinary surgeon (M/FRCVS) or newly qualified graduate
• Passion for mixed animal practice
• Strong commitment to work-life balance and team collaboration

• Competitive salary: £40,000–£65,000 depending on experience
