About the Role

Join Hall Place Veterinary Centre as a Receptionist and become the first point of contact for clients and their beloved pets. This part-time position offers genuine flexibility—you’ll work 4 days per week (up to 25 hours), entailing one full day (8:15 am till 6:30 pm) and 3 afternoon shifts (1:30 pm till 6:30 pm).

Hall Place is a well-established small animal practice spanning three locations: a picturesque barn conversion hospital at Pinkney’s Green in the countryside, plus smaller branches in the bustling villages of Bourne End and Marlow. You’ll be supporting a collaborative team dedicated to delivering compassionate, professional care at every client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and pets warmly on arrival, setting the tone for their visit
• Managing appointment diaries efficiently—booking, cancelling, rearranging appointments and processing online bookings
• Maintaining accurate client records and managing client orders and repeat prescriptions
• Handling payments, cashing up at the end of each shift, and processing transactions accurately
• Supporting general administration duties and working collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner with clients
• Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Organised approach to diary and record management
• Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and openness to feedback and learning
