Harbour Veterinary Group
Apply before: Mar 11, 2026
Harbour Veterinary Group is recruiting an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their established first opinion practice on the charming Isle of Hayling Island, Hampshire. This is a role perfectly suited to a GP vet who thrives in a supportive environment and wants to develop their skillset across a varied caseload.
The position works 40 hours per week across 4 days, with flexibility to shift to part-time hours if preferred. You’ll benefit from excellent facilities including laparoscopic equipment and a caseload encompassing exotic cases alongside routine small animal work. The team actively encourages you to utilise your full scope of practice, meaning you’ll be well-supported and trusted to deliver high-quality care. There’s a welcome bonus on offer to the right candidate.
Hayling Island is commutable from Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester, Bognor Regis, Gosport, Petersfield, Fareham, and surrounding Hampshire and West Sussex areas—perfect if you value a coastal location with easy access to broader regional amenities.
Harbour Veterinary Group is part of CVS, a leading veterinary group committed to delivering the highest standards of animal care. The Hayling Island practice is well-established and proud of its reputation for excellence. The team is well-equipped with modern facilities and fosters a collaborative culture where vets are encouraged to use their full skillset and are genuinely supported in their professional development.
CVS is committed to being a fully inclusive workplace where all colleagues are encouraged to be themselves, where difference is celebrated, and where everyone feels able to deliver their best. The company is also determined to build a workforce more representative of the diverse communities it serves and the people it provides services to.
