🕐 Schedule & Rota

No out-of-hours or weekend work required. Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Friday, 8am–7pm shifts.

About the Role

This is a genuine work-life balance role at a well-established first-opinion practice in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. You’ll split your days between consultations and surgery, with full clinical freedom and the security of working alongside an experienced team who actively encourage case continuity. The full-time position runs 37.5 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday – no weekends, no out-of-hours. If part-time suits you better, the practice is flexible around rota patterns to match your lifestyle, whether that’s school runs or a different rhythm altogether.

You’ll be joining a five-branch operation across the Cardiff area, including a site in Penarth. The practice offers genuine countryside-and-city living: easy access to vibrant urban Cardiff and the scenic Welsh outdoors within reach.

Requirements

  • Registered veterinary surgeon (RCVS qualified)
  • Experience in small animal first-opinion practice (level not specified)
  • Professional registration in good standing

About the Practice

Heath Vets is an established first-opinion practice with five branches across the Cardiff area, including locations in Rhiwbina and Penarth. The practice is well-equipped with in-house laboratory facilities, digital radiography, K laser, ultrasound scanner, endoscopic equipment, and a newly installed dental X-ray system. The team is experienced and collaborative, prioritising case continuity and professional support.
