Client Care Assistant

About the Role

Kentdale Referrals is seeking a warm, organised Receptionist to join its friendly front-of-house team. This is a full-time role based in Milnthorpe, working 37.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday (8am–7pm) plus a 1:4 Saturday rota. You’ll be at the centre of daily operations, bridging communication between clients and the clinical team to ensure every patient and visitor receives exceptional care from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets with professionalism and warmth, setting a positive tone for their visit
• Manage the appointment diary efficiently, booking consultations and surgical procedures
• Handle a high volume of telephone and email enquiries from clients with confidence and clarity
• Liaise proactively between clients and clinical staff to keep the day running smoothly
• Process prescription requests and manage client payments
• Complete administrative tasks including scanning paperwork, form completion, and daily cash reconciliation
• Promote practice services and special offers to clients
• Maintain reception cleanliness, organisation, and stock levels throughout the day

Requirements

• Previous customer-facing experience essential
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Ability to remain calm and productive under pressure
• Confident telephone manner and communication skills
• Reception or client care experience desirable
• Genuine passion for animals
