About the Role

This is your chance to join a thriving small animal practice that’s been growing since 2009, serving a diverse community in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. You’ll work with a varied and interesting caseload—everything from routine consultations to more complex cases—all supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a genuinely collaborative team. This full-time permanent role (40 hours per week) offers flexible hours designed around you, so you can enjoy that brilliant work-life balance the coastal location affords. Whether you’re newly qualified seeking the right mentorship or an experienced vet ready for something different, this practice welcomes both. You’ll be joining a well-structured team of 1 Head Vet, 2 RVNs, 1 student nurse, 1 practice manager (also RVN), 3 receptionists, and 1 VCA—people who genuinely support one another and celebrate successes together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care across a broad range of small animal cases
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Vet and nursing team to provide comprehensive patient and client care
  • Utilise the practice’s advanced facilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory (Idexx), and dentistry equipment
  • Contribute to a supportive, team-based environment where knowledge sharing and professional development are encouraged
  • Maintain clinical standards and keep abreast of best practice

Requirements

  • Registered as a Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS
  • Strong clinical skills and genuine passion for patient and client care
  • Good communication abilities and collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Flexible, solution-focused mindset
  • No specific experience level required—newly qualified and experienced vets both welcome

King’s Lynn Vets for Pets is a modern, purpose-built small animal practice established in 2009 and part of the Pets at Home Vet Group. Housed in a bright, air-conditioned facility designed to the highest industry standards, the practice is fully equipped with digital radiography and ultrasound, Idexx in-house laboratory, multiparameter monitoring, dentistry facilities, and sevoflurane anaesthesia (uniquely available in King’s Lynn).
