Registered Veterinary Nurse – Small Animal

About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity working 30 hours per week across Monday to Thursday, with a manageable 1:4 Saturday morning rota—designed to give you genuine work-life balance. You’ll be based primarily at Kingston Vets’ modern Sherborne facility, with occasional flexibility to support the nearby Yeovil practice when needed. The role sits within a close-knit nursing team that genuinely prioritises collaboration and professional development.

You’ll be joining a long-established group with two practices across three nearby locations in Somerset and Dorset, providing both small animal and farm animal care. The Sherborne site is purpose-built and fully equipped with dedicated dental, imaging, and laboratory facilities—giving you access to the tools and cases that keep nursing interesting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clinical care across small animal cases in a well-resourced, modern practice
• Contribute to the nursing team’s focus on excellent patient and client care journeys
• Engage in CPD and pursue special interests, including certificate study opportunities
• Participate in the shared Saturday morning rota as part of a supportive team
• Work flexibly between the Sherborne and Yeovil sites as required

Requirements

• Current RVN registration
• Strong team ethic and commitment to high-quality patient and client care
• Enthusiasm for professional development and CPD
