Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients visiting Leonard Brothers Vets, a busy, modern practice with fantastic facilities and a brilliant team across three branches in the Nantwich area. This is a part-time permanent role where you’ll play a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience at every interaction. The practice has 14 vets and an experienced nursing and support team, creating a collaborative environment focused on exceptional client care and staff development.

Nantwich is a lovely market town with excellent transport connections—just 1.5 hours by train from the Peak District, Lake District, North Wales, or London, and close to the M6 and Crewe railway station. The practice is a training environment, providing plenty of support as you ease into the team and gain experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming first impression
• Manage appointments and the daily schedule to keep the practice running smoothly
• Handle client enquiries and support communications across the practice
• Receive payments and process daily banking
• Dispense medications to clients
• Manage insurance claims and process queries
• Carry out stock control duties
• Work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey
• Deliver excellent customer service whilst managing multiple tasks under pressure

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
• Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
• Friendly, organised, and customer-focused personality with a collaborative approach
• Willingness to support colleagues and openness to feedback and learning
• Proactive attitude and flexibility
