🕐 Schedule & Rota

2:8 weekend rota with time off in lieu. Shifts between 7am–8.30pm.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week across varied shifts between 7am and 8.30pm, with a 2:8 weekend rota and time off in lieu. You’ll join a large, multidisciplinary clinical team at a leading referral hospital, where nurses are highly utilised and actively encouraged to develop specialist interests within a supportive environment.

You’ll contribute to patient care and medical and surgical interventions across a diverse range of services including internal medicine, neurology, diagnostic imaging, inpatient care, oncology, surgery, and anaesthesia. This role offers genuine variety and the chance to upskill in areas that interest you most. Experience with anaesthesia is advantageous, but full training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on patient care across multiple specialist services within a referral setting
  • Support medical and surgical interventions under the guidance of experienced consultants, residents, and interns
  • Work flexibly across shifts (7am–8.30pm) and weekend rotas to ensure continuity of care
  • Contribute to a solution-focused team culture, actively supporting colleagues and helping others develop their skills
  • Maintain professional, caring standards in all aspects of clinical work
  • Engage in ongoing learning and be willing to share knowledge to positively influence working processes

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
  • Passion for patient care and commitment to learning
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a professional, caring approach
  • Solution-focused mindset with enthusiasm for developing new skills and supporting others
  • Previous referral experience is desirable but not essential – full training provided
