About the Role

This is a specialist cardiology position within a thriving referral hospital environment. You’ll be at the heart of a multidisciplinary team, delivering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with complex cardiac conditions. The role offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment, mentor emerging clinicians, and contribute meaningfully to protocol development and quality improvement initiatives in a forward-thinking practice culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services for cardiovascular diseases, including echocardiography, ECG interpretation, and interventional procedures
  • Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, and anaesthesia teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Offer clinical guidance and mentorship to interns, residents, and nursing staff
  • Communicate clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses
  • Contribute to development of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in veterinary cardiology through continuing education

Requirements

  • Board Certification (ECVIM or ACVIM in Cardiology) OR completion of a recognized cardiology residency program.
  • Proven clinical experience managing complex cardiac cases
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with commitment to client care and team collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced referral hospital environment

Desirable

  • Experience in interventional cardiology procedures (pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty)
  • Interest in teaching and mentoring veterinary professionals
  • Research involvement or willingness to contribute to clinical studies
