About the Role

Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is seeking an enthusiastic Medicine RVN to join the day team at this large, multidisciplinary referral hospital serving the South of England, including London and the Thames Valley. This is a permanent, on-site position working standard daytime hours with no out-of-hours requirements, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

You’ll work closely with a dedicated nursing team, PCAs, and specialist clinicians, providing gold standard care to referred patients across a range of conditions. The hospital holds prestigious accreditations including ISFM Gold Standard Feline Clinic status and Dogs Trust Dog Friendly Clinic recognition, and has won the BVHA Design Award for its outstanding working environment. An eight-week induction programme will help you settle into the role and familiarise yourself with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to medicine referral patients under the supervision of specialist clinicians
  • Work closely with the medicine referral nursing team and PCAs to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Support diagnostic and treatment procedures within the medicine department
  • Liaise and collaborate with surgeons and specialist teams across the hospital
  • Participate in the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence and Gold Standard feline care
  • Contribute to a supportive team environment with peers and clinical colleagues

Requirements

  • Current RVN registration (or eligible to register with RCVS)
  • Passion for nursing and patient care
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Professional approach to clinical practice and communication
