Registered Veterinary Nurse – Part-time (FTC – Maternity Cover)

About the Role

You’ll join Lynwood Vets’ Bournemouth branch as a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This part-time position offers 30 hours per week plus Saturday rota shifts, giving you flexibility alongside genuine clinical responsibility. The practice sits in an enviable location—close to the Dorset coast, the New Forest, and countryside charm—yet easily accessible to local amenities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard nursing care across the practice’s small animal caseload
• Support clinical procedures and assist veterinary surgeons in consultations
• Manage nursing duties including patient monitoring, catheter care, and post-operative care
• Contribute to the team’s health and safety culture and clinical protocols
• Take Saturday rota shifts as required

Requirements

• RCVS registered (RVN status)
• Right to work in the UK
• Genuine passion for veterinary nursing
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Full, clean UK driving licence
