About the Role

Medivet Borehamwood is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, supportive team. You’ll work 39 hours across 4 days per week—a refreshing alternative to the standard 5-day grind—split between the Borehamwood and Mill Hill branches (2 days at each), with occasional cover at Temple Fortune. The role includes a mix of early and late shifts, giving you variety without the chaos of unpredictable scheduling.

You’ll be part of a 1 in 6 weekend rota at Medivet’s Hendon 24-hour hospital, with time off in lieu and shared bank holiday cover. This isn’t sole-charge nursing; you’re embedded in a collaborative team environment where modern facilities and a diverse caseload keep the work engaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care, conducting nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities
• Provide anaesthetic support, assist with consults, surgeries and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and practice standards
• Manage patient monitoring, admissions and discharges
• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to maintain high standards of care
• Provide excellent client communication and support throughout their pet’s care journey

Requirements

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse (essential)
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care

• Ability to work flexibly across multiple branch locations
