About the Role

You’ll be joining Medivet Carpenders Park, a practice known locally as ‘The Clinic with the most Unicorns in the world’ for their commitment to celebrating difference and creating an inclusive workplace. This is a full-time position offering a 4-day week with weekend duties on a 1-in-6 rota at their sister facility, Watford 24-Hour Hospital, just a short drive away.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional small animal clinical care across consultations and surgery. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, supportive team and benefit from access to advanced diagnostics and surgical facilities—including CT, laparoscopy, endoscopy, orthopaedics, and spinal surgery—backed by a dedicated night team at the 24-hour hospital. This is an ideal position if you’re looking for general practice work with genuine specialist support on your doorstep.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard clinical care to small animal patients in consultations and surgery, maintaining regulatory and practice compliance
• Develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients
• Work collaboratively within your team and contribute to the wider Medivet communities’ professional development
• Share your expertise and support colleagues in a supportive, values-driven environment

Requirements

• Qualified MRCVS with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Confident general surgical skills
• Proactive approach to case management with strong collaborative working style
• Passion for clinical excellence and client care
