Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

You’ll be joining a well-established companion animal practice in the heart of Crosby, moments from the beach and local parks. This is a four-day-per-week position with a manageable 1:4 Saturday rota and just one or two bank holiday on-call weeks annually—enough responsibility to stay engaged, without the burnout. The practice runs a tight-knit team of four vets and three nurses (including you), all working collaboratively in a genuinely supportive environment.

The Crosby branch is modern and well-equipped, with ultrasound, digital X-ray, in-house blood machines, tonometry, and multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring at your fingertips. You’ll have access to a dedicated nurse consult room and free parking, plus excellent transport links if you’re commuting in from Liverpool or beyond. This is the kind of practice where your skills matter and you’re not just another pair of hands.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities, bringing your full scope to patient care
• Support surgical and procedural work alongside the veterinary team
• Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
• Provide exceptional client communication and care delivery
• Work collaboratively within the supportive four-vet, three-nurse team to maintain high standards of patient and client care

Requirements

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse (essential)
• Passion for delivering high-quality patient and client care
• Strong team player mentality with a collaborative approach
• Commitment to regulatory and operational standards

• Compensation: £30,000 per year
