About the Role

This is a partnership opportunity at Medivet Dartford 24 Hour Centre, a well-established emergency and critical care hub serving Kent and the broader Medivet network. You’ll take ownership of a busy, modern practice combining high-volume emergency cases with routine small animal and exotic work—with the backing of Medivet’s partnership model behind you. As partner, you’ll shape the clinic’s direction, lead your team, and build equity in a practice that’s already thriving. The role involves owning and leading a 24 hour ECC hub, which acts as the local clinical hub covering OOH for the local regional network.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the clinic day-to-day, making operational and clinical decisions aligned with your ethos
• Manage a busy 24-hour hospital with diverse caseloads including emergency, critical care, small animal, and exotic cases
• Build and mentor a dedicated, experienced clinical team
• Contribute to the wider Medivet partner network, sharing referral-level cases and expertise
• Develop the practice’s potential and shape its future direction
• Participate in regional OOH rota covering the local network (shared responsibility, not sole burden)

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with proven experience in a busy practice environment
• Strong clinical expertise and leadership drive
• Ambition to own and grow your own practice
• Passion for high-quality care and community impact
• Experience in a 24-hour or high-volume setting preferred but not essential—clinical excellence matters more than business experience
• Team-focused mindset with mentoring capability
