About the Role

This is a part-time position (30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am–4:00pm) offering genuine family-friendly working at a fast-paced small animal practice. You’ll join a close-knit, one-vet team at Medivet High Green where your contribution directly impacts patient care and client satisfaction. The practice operates a 1:4 Saturday rota with time off in lieu, giving you predictable scheduling and real flexibility to balance clinical work with life outside the clinic.

The caseload is varied and rewarding, blending medical and surgical work. The practice regularly welcomes peripatetic orthopaedic specialists, offering you excellent exposure to advanced surgical procedures and the chance to develop advanced nursing and surgical skills beyond typical day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide essential support during veterinary consultations, procedures, and surgeries, maintaining the highest standards of clinical governance and regulatory compliance
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, monitoring, and post-operative care
• Deliver exceptional care to patients and outstanding service to clients
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment to maintain operational excellence
• Assist with orthopaedic and other advanced surgical cases when peripatetic specialists visit the practice

Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
• Team player with a commitment to clinical excellence and regulatory standards
• Interest in surgical nursing (desirable)
