About the Role

This is a full-time position offering a 4-day working week with a fixed day off to protect your work-life balance—plus you’ll enjoy a vibrant seaside location with excellent transport links into London. You’ll join a busy, well-equipped practice in Leigh-on-Sea where a highly experienced team is genuinely invested in your development. The role includes participation in a shared 1:3 Saturday rota and out-of-hours cover at the 24-hour Southend hospital, with minimal and well-supported on-call commitments.

You’ll encounter a varied and busy small animal caseload that will help build your clinical confidence and capability. The practice prides itself on being collaborative and friendly, where everyone supports each other while delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to small animal patients in consults and surgery, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
• Develop tailored treatment plans with clients and communicate clearly about care options
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team of 2 experienced vets, 5 RVNs and 5 Client Care Assistants
• Share your skills and contribute to the broader Medivet communities’ professional development
• Participate in the shared Saturday and out-of-hours rota at the 24-hour Southend hospital

Requirements

• Qualified MRCVS (Veterinary Surgeon registration)
• Passion for clinical excellence and client care
