🕐 Schedule & Rota

Weekend rota at Chorley 24-Hour Hospital approximately every 6 weeks, plus 1–2 bank holiday rota per year.

About the Role

You’ll join a modern, recently refurbished high-street clinic serving the heart of the Newton-le-Willows community. This four-day week position offers the autonomy of sole charge work paired with strong, collaborative support—exactly what many experienced vets are looking for. Weekend rota commitments are manageable (approximately every 6 weeks at the 24-hour hospital in Chorley, plus 1–2 bank holidays annually), giving you genuine continuity and control over your schedule.

Working alongside an experienced Branch Partner (Nina) and a skilled Head Veterinary Nurse, you’ll have the guidance and shared expertise needed to deliver exceptional patient care whilst building lasting client relationships. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solo consults and surgical care to the highest clinical and regulatory standards
  • Develop individualised treatment plans with clients, balancing best practice with their needs
  • Manage the practice independently whilst maintaining strong collaboration with Nina and the nursing team
  • Share clinical knowledge and mentor the nursing team in a supportive environment
  • Contribute to the broader Medivet clinical communities and professional development initiatives
  • Maintain RCVS compliance and operational excellence across all patient interactions

Requirements

  • Qualified MRCVS with proven sole charge experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient welfare
  • Excellent communication skills and genuine passion for client relationships
