Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This part-time position offers a salary of £30,000 to £32,000 pro rata. It provides the opportunity to work 30 hours per week with a manageable 1 in 4 weekend rota in a busy, varied clinic. You’ll be joining a well-resourced team of 4 vets, 6 nurses, and 4 receptionists at the Merthyr Tydfil clinic—meaning you’re never working without support.

The practice is set in a spacious, modern building featuring three consulting rooms, a dedicated operating theatre, and an imaging room. You’ll have exposure to a wide range of interesting small animal cases, from routine medicine and surgery through to nurse-led consultations. The team also works closely with VVS to provide ultrasound support when needed, giving you access to varied clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care across surgery, medicine, and nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities
• Support consults, surgeries, and procedures whilst maintaining regulatory, practice, and operational standards
• Manage patient monitoring, admissions, and discharges
• Provide outstanding client care throughout each interaction
• Work collaboratively within your supportive nursing and veterinary team

Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
