Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

You’ll be delivering exceptional nurse-led appointments and supporting the veterinary team with procedures across small animal, mixed animal, and exotic cases. This is a full-time permanent position based in Somerton, where you’ll work as part of a collaborative practice that genuinely prioritizes both patient care and team wellbeing. With a manageable 1:4 weekend rota, you’ll have real work-life balance whilst maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Your day-to-day will blend independent nurse-led consultations with hands-on support in theatres and procedures, patient monitoring, and admissions/discharges. You’ll be working in a supportive environment where your professional development is actively encouraged and your contribution is recognized.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage nurse-led appointments and scheduled activities, ensuring exceptional patient and client care
• Support veterinary surgeons during consultations, surgeries, and clinical procedures
• Perform patient monitoring and manage hospital admissions and discharges
• Maintain all regulatory, practice, and operational standards throughout clinical delivery
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary and support team to maintain a high standard of care

Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
• Team player mentality with a commitment to supporting colleagues
• Willingness to work a 1:4 weekend rota
