Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a permanent sole-charge veterinary surgeon position based at Medivet South Wootton, a well-established and spacious practice with a loyal client base and strong clinical standards. You’ll work 40 hours over four days, with a 1-in-3 Saturday morning rota and no out-of-hours commitment—and the practice is genuinely open to flexible or part-time arrangements if that suits your lifestyle better.

South Wootton itself is a peaceful, sought-after village offering the perfect balance: a quiet countryside setting with genuine local amenities (village shops, pubs, excellent schools), yet just 40 minutes from Cambridge and 20 minutes from the Norfolk coast. You’ll have good rail connections to Cambridge, Ely, and London, making it an ideal location for vets who want breathing room without isolation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients across consults and surgical procedures, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance
• Develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients
• Work collaboratively within the supportive team environment
• Contribute to the broader Medivet communities’ clinical development and knowledge-sharing
• Maintain accountability for patient welfare and care standards within the clinic

Requirements

• Qualified MRCVS (UK-registered veterinary surgeon)
