Night Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This part-time night position offers you the chance to work as a core member of the nursing team at Medivet’s Southend-on-Sea location. You’ll be providing direct support to veterinary surgeons during overnight procedures and emergency care, ensuring every patient receives exceptional attention regardless of the hour.

This is a dedicated night shift role, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills in a quieter, more focused environment where each case receives dedicated attention. You’ll work as part of a team committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Support veterinary surgeons during night-time consultations, procedures, and emergency care
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and treatment areas to ensure optimal standards
• Monitor and care for hospitalised patients throughout the night shift
• Maintain detailed clinical records and communicate patient updates accurately
• Ensure all regulatory, health and safety, and operational standards are met
• Contribute to a culture of exceptional patient and client care
• Work collaboratively with the wider Medivet team to support quality outcomes

Requirements

• Current RVN registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and practice compliance
• Flexibility and reliability for night-time working patterns
