Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a full-time veterinary surgeon position based in St. Albans, with flexibility for part-time hours or job share arrangements if that suits your lifestyle. You’ll deliver high-standard clinical care across consults and surgery, working within a collaborative team that genuinely values its people. Weekend working and occasional on-call cover is required to support the network’s 24-hour hospital in Watford—but there’s a real focus here on sustainable, supported rotas rather than burnout culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and surgical procedures to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
• Develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients
• Work collaboratively within a supportive veterinary and nursing team
• Contribute to the wider Medivet communities’ professional development and knowledge-sharing
• Provide weekend, on-call and occasional Bank Holiday cover to support the Medivet 24-hour Hospital in Watford

Requirements

• Qualified MRCVS (UK registered veterinary surgeon)
• Genuine passion for clinical excellence and high-quality client care
• Team player mindset with strong collaborative working approach
