Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position with a mixed animal practice serving Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy from four locations. You’ll work across the Mona, Menai Bridge, Amlwch and Bangor branches, managing a diverse caseload of small animals, farm animals and equine patients. The practice runs its own 24-hour emergency service for large animals and equine, giving you the satisfaction of knowing every patient gets continuity of care.

The role includes a manageable OOH rota—one night a week and one weekend in five—with the flexibility to work either a four or five-day week. A part-time option is also available if that suits your lifestyle better. You’ll be based in a spectacular location ideal for walking, surfing and outdoor activities, with a team that genuinely values both professional development and colleague wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care for small animals, farm animals and horses across four practice locations
• Work independently and collaboratively within a mixed-discipline team
• Participate in the practice’s own 24-hour emergency service for large animals and equine on a shared rota
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare in a friendly, supportive environment

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with experience in mixed animal practice
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work across multiple sites
• Flexibility to participate in OOH rota (one night per week, one weekend in five)
