About the Role

MiNightVet Stoke is part of a nationwide network of 39 out-of-hours emergency practices, providing round-the-clock small animal care across the UK. You’ll be joining the dedicated night team in Stoke-on-Trent as a confident Veterinary Surgeon, working on a 1:4 rota pattern with flexibility available for part-time arrangements.

This is a dedicated emergency and critical care role where you’ll work sole charge overnight, supported by an RVN and the wider MiNightVet network. Whether you’re experienced in ECC or building your emergency skills, the practice invests in your development through the ECCelerate programme, telemedicine access via Vet Oracle, and visiting specialists. Off-site accommodation is available within 2 minutes of the practice during your working weeks, and relocation support is offered.

Stoke-on-Trent is a vibrant, affordable city with excellent transport links to Birmingham, Manchester, and the Midlands. Alton Towers, major airports, and green spaces make it an attractive base for work and life outside the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver emergency and critical care to small animals presenting out-of-hours
  • Work confidently in sole charge, supported overnight by an RVN colleague
  • Manage a range of urgent presentations and ECC cases with access to Vet Oracle telemedicine and specialist advice
  • Collaborate with the wider MiNightVet network across the UK
  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive team culture

Requirements

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS or equivalent)
  • Confidence working sole charge, supported overnight by an RVN
  • Experience in emergency and critical care (or enthusiasm to develop it)
  • Ability to start January 2026 (later start dates considered on request)
  • Willingness to engage with flexible working arrangements
