Ready to work with a team that genuinely believes vets should have a life outside work? Join Myerscough's 17-strong team across Lancashire, where a four-day week, protected admin time, and real flexibility aren't just promises—they're how you'll actually work.

🕐 Schedule & Rota

Out-of-hours provision provided by Vets Now based at the main hospital site in Clayton Le Dale. No overnight on-call rota for primary care vets; inpatient care is continuous without patient transfers.

About the Role

You’ll be joining Myerscough Veterinary Group, a thriving 11-branch practice spread across Lancashire, from the Fylde Coast to the Rawtenstall Valley. This is a genuinely flexible opportunity where the practice will shape the role around what suits you—whether that’s full-time or part-time, consulting-only, or a mix of consulting and surgical work. You’re not fitting into a predefined box; they’re building one that works for your career and life.

Based at their main hospital in Clayton Le Dale (Tier 3 status), you’ll work alongside 17 vets including certificate holders in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Dentistry & Oral Surgery, and Dermatology. The practice has invested in serious kit: CT scanner, digital radiography, dental radiography, advanced ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and a full in-house laboratory. Out-of-hours cover is provided by Vets Now on-site, so inpatients stay put—no transfers between facilities.

Work-life balance isn’t a buzzword here—it’s built into everything. Full-time staff work four days per week with a guaranteed day off and one Saturday morning in eight. Consultations are 15 minutes standard with flexibility for complex cases, and protected admin time throughout the day means you’re not staying late to catch up on paperwork. Manchester and Liverpool are 40 minutes away; the Lake District just over an hour; London by direct train in just over two hours.
