About the Role

You’ll join Natures Vet as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, working across both the compact village practice in Paulton and the larger purpose-built facility in nearby Radstock. This is a part-time opportunity spanning 24–30 hours over three days, with Saturday mornings included on a 1:4 rota—and crucially, no out-of-hours duties. If your circumstances call for different arrangements, the practice is open to discussion.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of nursing care, from supporting daily consultations run by your nursing colleagues to theatre work and clinical procedures. The team actively encourages skill development and professional growth, so there’s genuine scope to build your experience and pursue your interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on nursing care across surgical, medical, and preventative procedures
  • Support the 4 veterinary surgeons and 4 other experienced RVNs in clinical work
  • Lead daily nursing consultations as part of the established nursing team
  • Contribute to theatre management and anaesthetic support
  • Mentor and support the practice’s 4 student nurses
  • Uphold high standards of patient care and infection control across both sites

Requirements

  • Current RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Genuine passion for small animal nursing and patient welfare
  • Ability to work flexibly across a two-site practice
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and CPD

About the Practice

Natures Vet operates two complementary sites serving the Paulton and Radstock area near Bristol. The compact Paulton location provides a village practice feel, while the purpose-built Radstock facility houses comprehensive modern equipment including digital X-rays, ultrasound, dedicated dental suite, operating theatres, and a full laboratory. The practice is part of IVC Evidensia, a leading veterinary group committed to high standards of clinical care and staff development.

The team comprises 4 veterinary surgeons, 4 experienced RVNs, 4 student nurses, and 8 support staff members. Several nurses and vets hold advanced certificates in anaesthesia and nutrition, and the practice actively supports staff in pursuing their professional interests through its commitment to CPD and career development.
