Weekend and bank holiday rotation as part of four-day working week (37.5 hours over 4 days including weekends).

About the Role

You’ll be joining New Priory Vets’ small animal team at their flagship Brighton hospital, with regular rotation across two additional satellite clinics in the area. This full-time position offers genuine variety—working in a modern referral hospital setting one day and community practice environment the next. You’ll be working 37.5 hours over four days per week (including weekend and bank holiday rotation), leaving plenty of time to enjoy Brighton’s vibrant culture and nearby countryside.

The Brighton hospital is well-equipped with CT, ultrasound, digital radiography, and dedicated surgical facilities. Your patients will benefit from on-site specialist referral support through Brighton Veterinary Referrals when needed, giving you exposure to a wide range of cases and the chance to develop your skills alongside experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care across routine and more complex surgical procedures, with support available to develop your skills further
  • Support diagnostic services including radiography, CT, ultrasound, and dentistry
  • Deliver nursing clinics and contribute to the hospital’s high-quality patient care standards
  • Work collaboratively with vets and the wider team across the three practice locations
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced referral and general practice environment

Requirements

  • Registered with the RCVS as a veterinary nurse
  • Preferred: 3+ years post-qualification experience
  • Competent in routine surgical nursing; experience with more complex procedures desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
  • A genuine passion for animal and client care
  • Team player mentality with a collaborative approach
