🕐 Schedule & Rota

Dedicated OOH position. Night shifts: 12 hours with 1 hour unpaid lunch. Weekend day shifts: 11 hours with 1 hour unpaid lunch. Additional day/night shifts available for holiday cover if desired.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dedicated team at MiNightVet Wokingham, where you’ll deliver emergency and out-of-hours veterinary nursing care to the local community. You’ll be working from Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital, a well-equipped facility designed to support excellent clinical care. The practice is actively recruiting for full-time positions but is flexible with part-time applicants and happy to discuss shift patterns that suit your lifestyle. Cover is required for night shifts (12 hours with 1 hour unpaid lunch) and weekend day shifts (11 hours with 1 hour unpaid lunch), with the option to pick up additional shifts for holiday cover if desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency and out-of-hours patients across a range of presentations
  • Support the veterinary team during diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Manage patient records, monitoring, and care plans with excellent communication with colleagues and clients
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the hospital during night and weekend shifts as part of a collaborative team
  • Maintain professional standards and help uphold the practice’s reputation for exceptional emergency care

Requirements

  • Full RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (essential)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality patient care under pressure
  • Confidence working as part of a strong, collaborative team
  • Flexibility and reliability for night and weekend shifts
